Once you are in the chat room, you might receive a message that the nickname you
selected is already taken. If you receive this message, type in the text line at the bottom
of the screen /nick newname with newname being your second choice nickname. For
example: /nick tammy2
If you don't change your nickname when asked, the system will do it for you and your
name will become something like Visitor_123. Even though there is no one else in the
Tammy chat room with that nickname, there is someone else on one of the other chat
boards that has that name already registered for their use only.
You can change your nickname anytime during the chat session. If your name is
automatically changed to visitor, please change it again to something more identifiable
for the benefit of all in attendance during the chat session.
